The Fish Out of Water Metaphor
I don't think it's right to sort of overgeneralise and say, or because you're from one class or one area, you're going to have the same experience as someone else. Pierre Bordeaux explains how sometimes people feel uncomfortable in fields like higher education because it doesn't fit with their habitus. He also made reference to the fish out of water metaphor that we've already talked about. And then he went on to use that metaphor to explain how instead of feeling like the fish in water, they feel like theFish out of water.
