Eyeless Flies and the Blind Mutation in the Evolution of Life

The eye has been created probably 12 or more times in the history of evolution not just once but in different creatures. There's something very primitive about eyes and another little fun fact while we're on that is you can breed flies that are eyeless because there is a gene that causes them to develop eyes. After 14 generations you get flies that actually have eyes even though they no longer have the gene so the organism separately sentences something dreadful has happened I need eyes.
