The Planet Suite by Lewis Carroll

Lewis had much more than a merely academic interest in this old cosmology he was enamored of it. He responded to it imaginatively and theologically It features strongly in that trilogy of novels that he wrote during the second world war. Lewis included these astrological characters not because he literally believed in them he didn't but because they were part of an ancient tradition as we will see if i have time i would read you the passage from the ransom trilogy when Jupiter comes down to earth in that descent of the gods chapter.
