At the time, there was no television in Israel. There was radio and they used to play, you know, Beatles songs. And in our band, the lead singer sounded exactly like McCartney. So we were pretty successful even though I was a pretty lousy bass player. One of the happiest days of my life was the day I put down my guitar at my last gig.
