The Secret Love or the Maiden Queen
Gwen started out selling oranges in the theatre around the year 1663. We do know that 1667 was a big year for Nell Gwen. She played two key roles in plays that we believe premiered that year. The Secret Love or The Maiden Queen is actually what's known as a split plot play where there was a comic plot and a serious plot.
