How to Program a Machine to Make a Molecule
I've been curious about whether you could program the actual operation and structure of matter. In a liquid, molecules are fixed in place but they have complicated little figure eight dances that they do. You know potentially with programmable matter like that you could have it reconfigure itself in all kinds of ways. I remember thinking about this actually, oh 40 years ago now, of whether one could make one of these cellular automata out of individual molecules.
