In this book, I don't think the author Katie Martin got direct interviews with Angala Merkel. There's just always this struggle with a book. How do you write an accurate factual book about someone that treats them fairly when you have to get sources that are often going to be biased in one direction or another? Sometimes books turn into hit jobs. It turns into just an uncritical cheerleading exercise. Unfortunately, I think that the chancellor turns into this.
