Punishment is based on a fairly good premise, which is the more rapid the punishment, the more strong the lasting deterrent effect seems to be. But as someone pointed out, tony blair and a whole bunch of people in the room were very excited by this idea until someone pounted out they don't have a cash card. So the whole thing rather falls down on practical things. It always strikes me that the job of crazyf people, of artists, of ontples, to an extent, is different to the job of scientists. The job of scientists is to take what is already on and to come up with convincing answers or recommendations to what the behaviour should be for humans
