Is the Demo Demo Better Than the Fine Recording?

I was trying to find the story and writing the songs at the same time. My original idea for the skyline was to make an album about the skyline, which is what ended up happening. Every new song was like either a new direction that I could go in or a continuation of a direction that I started going in. The demo demo is better than the fine recording sometimes.
