The Problem With Judge Mershan's Donations to Act Blue

Judge Mershan donated $35 to act blue, a partisan Democratic Party political fundraising organization. He earmarked his donations to three specific causes: progressive turnout project, Biden for president 2020 and something called stop Republicans. The Republican who Mershan wants to stop and resist just happened to be the same human being who sits in Judge Mershan's courtroom at the defendants table with his liberty at stake. This is simply untenable. Would we accept the opposite?
