The Antithesis of Humility

Humility is not thinking less of oneself, but rather being appropriately self aware. Proverbs 16 five: Every one with a proud heart is detestable to the lord. God hates pride because it presumes to possess that which belongs to god alone. The heart of pride never confesses, never repents, never ask for forgiveness. Pride is the hidden reef that shipwrecks the soul.
