The Second Level of the Old Testament Right of Redeeming

The rite of redemption buying back was part of Israelite cultural inheritance. But on the other hand, Jesus didn't need it even if we're just operating at this first level of the Old Testament right. The word did not need to take human flesh in order to save us from our sins. We can give arguments as to why it's very fitting that he did but we can't say that he had to or that he had need of it.
