What Are the Predictable Features of Creole Languages?

I suspect these creole languages are mostly not written down than mostly spoken. And if a language is only talked, it means that it only lives as its being passed on to children. We are in an era where linguistic diversity is almost certainly going to seriously shrink. So that's why many linguas are very concerned with documenting what's still here.
