"I always just think that the way that you shoot this films can make my editing look great. There are styles, but the style so much follows the way thatyou're shooting," he says. "The style of editing is dictated on set and it's no extra effort." The director also talks about his relationship with Denny DeWitt who has been a mentor to him for more than 20 years.
