Claudia Golden is a labor economist and economic historian at Harvard University. Her latest book, Career and Family, focuses on the wage gap between men and women. She says that gender differences in earnings and careers have narrowed but are still troubling. Women tend to take jobs that enable them to do more flexible work, she says.
