The Impact of the Wars of the Roses on the Power Prestige and Authority of the King
The Wars of the Roses showed that to succeed kings had to be richer than everyone else. Henry's victory over Richard in 1485 gave the crown personal control over all Richard's northern lands and the Duchy of Lancaster. In Henry IV and Richard we begin to see the centralisation of finance through the hands of the king as a more efficient way of government. So there we go, my final thoughts and we can now officially put theWars of the Roses finally to bed.
