The Hangno and the Huns

There's very little hard evidence that connects the huns to the shangno. The best bit of evidence connecting the two groups is a similarity in their names. In mongolia, the name jannu is pronounced cun nu, cun simply meaning man. This was bastardized by the chinese who created the more derogatory name shongnu which can be translated as bad slave.
