i've never really got in my head around why so many reformed, white, evangelical americans struggle with this idea of reparations or systemic injustice. When when i go back and i read calvin, for example, covenental theology is strong in the origins of reform theology. And social reform was such a huge component whether you're looking at calvin in geneva or kiper in holland. But as sone bo soon as somebody starts talking about race and economic dimensions er, it's suddenly where it's either scary, or it's the social gospel, or this is some sort of marxes plot.
