The History of Commodore Matthew Perry

In 1853, Commodore Matthew Perry of the US Navy first landed in Japan. By 1854, he had sailed to Okeechi's hometown with a varying number of ships. The most important part is what he was there to accomplish and to demand really. He demanded that Japan establish trade and diplomatic relationships with the US.
