Jeff Pearlman has been following a low carb diet for more than 20 years. He says the focus should not be on him or can in terms of what he does, it's about scientific evidence and basing our nutrition policy on that evidence as best we can - imperfect as it may be. To stay in ketosis his carb intake is generally 40, 50 grams per day and protein, probably 120 grams per day. It's a very high-fat diet, which means I enjoy a lot of delicious sauces and dressings with non-starchy vegetables and different types of meat.
