"I just realized that there was a tremendous amount of trauma that had been holding in my body for 40 years," Flanagan says. "You know, I'm on the side of these young women who want to say this guy didn't know well what he wanted." The Atlantic asked Flanagan to write an article about her experience with date rape and she said yes. She has written several other books since including one called "The Girl Who Knew Too Much".
