Senate Bill 1316: What's Wrong With This?

Joe Cirincione: Two bills are moving through the Florida state legislature. One would require anyone other than a newspaper journalist who writes online about Florida's government leaders, that is its governor, lieutenant governor, cabinet officer or any member of the state legislature to register with the state if they receive any compensation for their posts. Those who violate the law risk up to $2,500 in fines per report. Crumley: The concern right from conservative legislators across the country is that these institutions are captured by the political left and that you need sort of the blunt tool of government to recapture them.
