The emotional bank account is one of the many ideas that Covey creates. But he goes on way too long talking about this in his new book. The idea effectively is just if everybody wins it's better for everybody’s happiness in the long term. If you try and have a good relationship with people there may be more likely to come back to you in the future, which is interesting.
