Metformin as a Life Extension Drug

The evidence for metformin as a life extension drug is pretty weak and there's actually some pretty good evidence to there's some side effects as well, right? So I would say on average, it's probably not effective for longevity purposes based on the study. But there is some evidence that it does benefit like certain types of people. We don't know who it benefits.
