The Police Station in Sinagal Is a Pilot for Women
The european union has funded a police station in the dacar suburb of putitem ba. The objective is to create our hosel bropad that will be close enough to the local community so women feel confident to come and share their concerns. There are six women working here, either in the main reception or in the next room. They have around 20 cases a month of women coming to express concerns over domestic or other types of violence. And they also themselves go out into the community to try and do outrig it's also making sure they provide assistance in the communitys.
