I Desire You, I Want You
In the dog story, you become merged with that other being so much. You're already sharing the same space of awareness. It's as if the cells have already merged together. And then to come back down into, I desire you, seems less. One gets hooked on their method of getting there - meditators end up being meditators; lusters end up being lusters. When you can't find it through that route, because it's not compassionate, then you move beyond it and get free of being hooked to the method.
