This might be a case of like James Fraser's golden bow where he kind of like saw patterns that make sense and they're so interesting and intriguing, but they don't actually exist. But the fact that I did read notes from Tolkien in a letter to Gene Wolf in which he betch it's the underworld God orcas as being the source of the word orc is true. So that much at least is true.
