Republicans of establishment elites have tried to harness the far right populist energies on the base specifically since the 90s. And they always get what they want in the sense that they mobilize the base and the base comes out to vote. But then the base sends these radicals, ever more radical people to Congress. That's again, we're seeing some of the next iteration of this."
