Michelle Bullock's Appointment as the Deputy RBA Chair Is a Tough Job
Bond traders pricing a higher chance of interest rate high. I think Bullock's got a really hard job in a way because inflation arrives. The easy response is put up interest rates. But then she's got to wait for the lag effects of all the interest rate changes previously made. And there's been 12 of them to come through and the course of the economy again. That's a tough job, don't you think? There's definitely more certainty around her from the market's perspective than any of the other candidates being able to.
