The Origins of Forms in the Body

According to eudoxus, the constituents of the body don't have forms at all. There is just one overall form whose presence blots out other bodily parts. It's by your human form that you can grow, see, hear, think and so on. But it's the earthy elements of your body that make you fall downwards like when you jump off a bench or have had too much opium.
