The Optic Nerve
There are about ten million fibres, i think, in the optic nerve. Those represent essentually the picksoles in the image that we see on our retina. We have an auditory nerve as well that goes from our colea, our inner rea, to the sound centre, auditory centre, in our brain. It has vastly fewer fibres than than the optic nervean. That's sorof fundamentally why we get less data from sound than we do from from from vision.
