I think online can be excellent and can be very effective in terms of achieving learning outcomes. But there is a more holistic aspect to what one gains from university. There's good pedagogical evidence that the old format of a lecturer standing in front of a big lecture theatre of hundreds of students isn't necessarily the best way to educate people. So we were already thinking about some of these things before the pandemic anyway. It was very much more incremental and probably patchally applied. And ideally, if you can kind of extract the advantages of online alongside the on-campus experience, it provides that flexibility and indicators to different needs.
