The Importance of Fearlessness in the Face of Death
Eddie Rickenbacher never had a death wish. He flirted with death his occupations are the ones he chose all had a huge element of danger. As a child, when his father died, he told his mom, don't worry. I'll take care of things. And so to me that's what struck me the difference because other individuals in my writings about war where there were sort of reckless and you wondered if they did have some kind of a death Wish. But not Eddie. He just never felt that there's a time when I can have to slow down. I'll just keep going and keep going and keeping going.
