I'm confused here. Where are representations still useful, and what is the argument for not using them? I wrote a book where I argued that you could do cognitive science without representations. Rick Dale wrote the best review of the book ever,. The dirty secret of this book is that it's not very radical, because I don't argue against the explanatory value ofrepresentations across the board in the cognitive sciences.
