Is Phenol Better Than Alcohol?

Pancreatic cancer is most effectively treated with bilateral neural neural neuralitic intercostal blocks at T10 to T12. Bilateral sympathetic blocks with phenol, celiac plexus block with alcohol, epidural block with phenol and subarachnoid block with alcohol. Most reliable signs of a successful block are disappearance of pain and the other one is presence of hypotension. If you have a successful block you're almost guaranteed to see that hypotension.
