A vasal state is a nation or country subordinate to your kingdom, but you don't extract wealth. You don't destroy the land. The youn't plunder the country. They give you a certain amount of tax per year. Or what do they cll it? They call it a, i'm not sure. They pay you tribute every year. And they acknowledge you as their suzaraine, as their over lord. Whenever you tell them to do certain things, thy will do it for you. A vassal state has a certain different rule. It's effectually quite unsuttled.
