I hadn't put it in terms of individual agency when you know it does constitute a problem but on the other hand one of the benefits is thinking of intelligence collectively. A lot of times whether in science or metaphysically we may have a tendency to think of intelligence as situated in the brain as situated in an ego in a self and undermine some of the social networks and bulwarks that make intelligence activity possible even on an individual level. I really appreciated him going into intuition as kind of the complexification of instinct because in the Bergson book he's also moving pretty quickly so it was hard to tell the inter relation between intellect instinct and intuition. He has this whole critique about Darwin's idea
