I Deserve God's Love
Lewis makes it clear that part of the problem is when we think we deserve other people's love. It just reduces love to what Jacques Derradon calls an economy of exchange. The need to receive things is in itself a grace, even though it doesn't feel like it almost feels like a punishment.
