Is There Incompetence in the Industry?
There's a lot of incompetence in the industry, exactly for the reason you say. It's their hiring salespeople, not knowledge people. What's important to take away from this is the clients are never going to be fully educated like we want them to be. So they're relying on us to provide good advice. And there are plenty of people who do not provide good advice either through incompetence of knowledge or maybe they have their own other purposes.
