The Importance of Prophecy in the Northern Kingdom
There's a sense that what happens in the northern kingdom is going to be an example for the southern, and Micah wants to make that explicit. And so he says, beginning of chapter two, woe to those who plan in equity, to those who plot evil on their beds at mornings,. because it is in their power to do it. So you've got a very powerful class. It goes on to say they covered fields and sees them and houses and take them. They defraud people of their homes. They rob them of their inheritance.
