The Golden State Killer's DNA Was a 100% Match
The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department had placed Joseph D'Angelo under surveillance. Their goal was to collect a sample of the elderly man's DNA to compare to the Golden State Killer. They followed him for five days, observing his strenuous yard work and riding his motorcycle along the freeway at high speeds. On Monday April 23 they watched as he dragged his garbage cans to the curb. Police rummaged through the bins and recovered a promising item, a used tissue. It was analysed immediately and the result came back within hours. The results were conclusive.Joseph D'Angelo's DNA was a 100% match.
