The History of Mummification
In ancient art, xyris were shown with tar black skin so mummies would be treated with nice smelling oils and resins. The bodies were wrapped in clean, white bandages to make them look more like carved statues of the gods. So if modern Egyptologists are correct, a wrapped up mummy wasn't meant to be preserved, it was meant to be transformed. How did you do? If you didn't get all five, that's OK.
