Chronic Migraine With Medication Overuse
The sample included 88% were women, which is actually pretty typical of a migraine study. As far as the overused medications, simple analgesics were the most commonly overused. The patients who received recommendations to stop and switch the overused medication were less likely to be in a medication overuse pattern during the nine to 12-week follow-up period.
