In 1978, Greenwood detectives overheard a man speaking in a bar about being involved with the Burger Chef murders. In this polygraph test, he passed, essentially with flying colors claiming that he was actually not involved as he was drunkenly saying in the bar. He did give some names to people that he claimed were actually involved with a gang that habitually robbed restaurants.
