Emmett Till's Memory Is Going to Be Honored
Alan Spears: Emmett Till's story is so important to history, especially now when there are numerous state legislators trying to limit teachings on black history. He says one of the most moving things that he saw at a proclamation signing ceremony was Reverend Wheeler Parker, who was 16 years old that fateful morning in Money, Mississippi. Spears: "We haven't reckoned exactly what we're going to do about race in this country yet, but we're still working on it"
