Oil and Gas Companies Are the Number One Responsibility for the Climate Crisis

I don't think nearly enough people have listened to Bill McKibben, the father of the divestment movement. I challenged him very hard on this idea that the number one responsibility for the climate crisis is the oil and gas companies. He was adamant that they were. And his number one requirement was stop investing and essentially shut down production. But we also think last winter, the UK government assigned half a billion British families to show because they are supplier, bankrupt during the recent market volatility. It wouldn't have been appropriate for us to tell the British government that we refuse to supply half a billion Brits with their energy supplies. That would not be responsible behavior.
