Meryl Streep plays Florence Foster Jenkins, a real life American heiress and amateur singer during the last year of her life in 1944 when she's 76. She was an absolutely terrible singer, a soprano, no less, who had zero talent regarding pitch, rhythm, sustaining notes or phrases. When Streep finally unleashes this voice to shot newcomer Cosme McCoon, it is the funniest scene I've seen in movies this year.
