TFA Is a Nonprofit, Not a TFA Foundation
To offset costs, TFA requires each district that hires its teachers to pay a negotiated fee. The state of Mississippi came up with just $6 million this year for 370 new teachers. A few states have recently reduced grants to TFA because of fiscal pressures.
