According to reports, five men find a promising spot along a treacherous slope where they build a cabin and establish a small gold mining operation. The miners catch a glimpse of their attackers, which appear to be large bipedal primates. Back in town, their story becomes front page news. And the remote gorge where the incident allegedly took place becomes known as Abe Canyon.
