The Future of Memory for Dementia

Engineers at the University of Waterloo in Canada have developed a companion robot with something called episodic memory. Episodic memory is a type of long term memory that involves conscious recollection or previous experiences together with their context. The robot would be able to see that the patient left the room at 3.30 p.m. out the front door, and then the keys were in view on the kitchen table after 5 p.m., but they're no longer there.
